Meet Our Staff

Here at Folly Road Animal Hospital we strive to make your visits to our facility as welcoming as possible. Our dedicated staff makes every effort possible to ensure that when you're in our clinic you feel at home. If you haven't had to opportunity to meet each of the staff personally, please take a second to learn a little about the people who keep things running smoothly and effectively.

Jo-Ann

Jo-Ann works in our kennel here at FRAH caring for boarding and hospitalized animals. She moved to South Carolina from Connecticut 12 years ago, and has been involved in animal care for the past five. Jo-Ann began her career at FRAH three years ago and continues to provide exceptional love and care in our kennel. Jo-Ann is a mother of two children and five pets. She believes her love of animals stems from her childhood when she would take in and care for neighborhood strays. “The Animal Control Officers knew me by name when I was little,” says Jo-Ann. The bond Jo-Ann shares with the animals she works with is evident, and her love of animals shines through in her work. From bathing to walking or just playtime Jo-Ann is devoted to establishing the best care possible for your animals here at FRAH.

Amanda

Amanda began working part-time at FRAH seven years ago, while taking courses at the College of Charleston. She eventually moved to full-time and has worked as both a veterinarian assistant and receptionist. Amanda’s knowledge of the offices ins and outs makes her a valued employee in all aspects. Her friendliness and patience has made her a client favorite, and she is often requested by longtime clientele. During her time off, Amanda enjoys spending time reading, decorating her home and playtime at the Dog Park with her Bullmastiff, Dixie.

*UPDATE* Amanda, has recently left FRAH to continue her education. She will be greatly missed by both our faculty and clients. Amanda, we all wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Leanne is currently the proud “parent” of two dogs, a cat, a hamster and numerous fish. Working at FRAH has been a great learning experience for Leanne, as she plans to enroll in veterinarian technician courses offered by Trident Technical College, and eventually pursue her doctorate in veterinary medicine.
